Do you know that faith in itself is evidence?
You may not have taken the time to meditate on Hebrews 11:1. Anyway lets take a moment with that verse.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Heb 11:1).
We see clearly here that faith is evidence in itself. Though it is not physical, it is evidence. Only the one who possesses it, sees it.
Once you have an evidence of something, you cannot doubt the existence of that thing. Hence if you do not understand that your faith is all the evidence you need you do not have whatever it is that your are believing God for.
I’ve heard many people say this: ”I prayed to God oo, i had faith oo, but the thing never came”. To such people, my answer is simple. You didn’t have faith in the first place. Having faith means that there is evidence that the thing exists; it is yours and you have it.
The mistake many people make when putting their faith to work ,is that they look for physical evidence; a sign that it will happen. Many times they are in a haste to see something happen. Their senses then become their greatest enemies in their walk of faith. But the Bible has clearly shown that “…he that believeth shall not make haste.”(Isa 28:16)
Being in a haste causes us not to walk by faith. It pushes one to look for physical evidence. Faith refuses to recognize time. Faith works better with patience.
This is the admonishing of the Lord unto you: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
