I find something in scripture that has been on my mind this morning…
James 1:2-3 KJVS
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this , that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Many people wonder at God. They think to themselves (and I’ve been there before) saying “can’t God see what I’m going through? All my troubles and misery?”
This is the problem of this age. And untill this disparity is corrected and the gap is closed many will continue to have issues with God.
God doesn’t see things the way you see them. You see trials and temptations, He sees joy. Until this gap is closed, you will think God is wicked.
Many times when we tell people that God doesn’t know they are going through a bad time they marvel. Think about it: If God tells you that a certain situation is to be counted as joy, do you think He sees it as a bad time. All the while you are crying and praying, God is watching you and He is wondering, what is wrong with this guy. Because he doesnt get it: why is my son crying? What is going on? Can’t he see its an opportunity to be joyful? These are God’s thoughts
Jude 1:25 KJVS
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
The above verse says God is only wise. You better get out of your emotions and drag yourself to perceive things like him or stay stuck with your perceptions about God. It really doesn’t change him at all.
Do you think that the red sea was a problem? The children of is real thought it was. They cried and complained to Moses. Moses also turned to God complaining. Let’s hear God’s response.
Exodus 14:15-16 KJVS
And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
Does this sound like God saw what the Israelites were seeing? Their crying meant nothing. They wasted all the crying time. Let’s take a look at another man who came in contact with a river/sea.
2 Kings 2:6-8 KJVS
And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the Lord hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on. And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan. And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
Glory to God. This is man who had come to know God, he didn’t ask GOD for any solution, he didn’t cry. The Jordan didn’t appear unto him as anything worth his time. He just divided it and went through with his small boy. Later his small boy did the same.
It’s for this same reason people have problems with accepting that we who have come to believe in Jesus are righteous. Hear what the scripture says Galatians 3:6 KJVS
Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
We see belief and faith in GOD, God sees righteousness. SIMPLE. You can battle with this all your life, God’s eyes and understanding will not change to yours.
I’m pleading with you today; if you want to enjoy your life, you will do yourself good if you rather conform to God than expecting him to conform to you. Get to seeing and understanding things like him. Close that gap and enjoy God.
