For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: (Joh 5:22)
The verse above to me is one of the most comforting verses in the scriptures. Many people are serving God out of the fear of judgement and condemnation. Many are not assured of their salvation today. They are waiting to see and hear what will happen at the end when our Lord and master appears.
But the scripture says clearly that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ. [Rom 8:1] The scripture says we shall appear with him when he appears and be like him. [Col 3:4 & 1Jn 3:2]
I wonder where the uncertainty and lack of assurance comes from. If salvation is by faith, and faith is an expression of certainty about something, we should as well be certain about our salvation today as much as we would be when Jesus appears.
Now to why i love the above verse.
JESUS IS THE ONE WHO WILL JUDGE. WELL, HE HAPPENS TO BE MY RIGHTEOUSNESS. Now if he pronounced me unrighteous, He is unrighteous.
Hear this; Jesus was very bold to call us his righteousness. Yes you are his righteousness. The earlier you believe this truth, the better for us all
Spend some time and meditate on this today.
